Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting a Financial Controller for an SME business in Sheffield. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing the finance function and for working closely with the senior management team to support the continued growth of the business.You'll be working for a long-established family business that has experienced significant growth over the last years, and they have ambitious plans for the future. With a turnover of c£10m, this growth has opened an exciting opportunity to join the business as Financial Controller.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing two Accounts Assistants
- Overseeing the weekly payment runs
- Handling UK & foreign payments in multiple currencies
- Handling import duty and VAT
- VAT returns
- Monthly Management accounts
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Year-end statutory returns
- Supporting operational managers across the business
- Providing strategic input to the growth of the business
There is a real opportunity here for this role to develop into a Finance Director position as the business grows.
