Global Accounting Network are currently partnered exclusively with a well established family run business based in Rainham, Essex to recruit for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity. The position will involve working amongst a close knit team, supporting with all aspects of purchase ledger. The business are thriving and demonstrating year on year growth, hence there is every possibility that this will become a permanent position.
Responsibilities will include managing all incoming invoices, matching to PO's and uploading to Sage. Additionally chasing copy invoices, generating PO's, managing suppliers and records, allocating payments, issuing remittances, producing costing reports, dealing with queries, completing credit account requests and various other ad-hoc duties to support a small office environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous accounts / purchase ledger experience ideally gained in a small office environment, have a mature attitude and be able to take ownership of the entire purchase ledger function. Previous experience of Sage 50 or 200 would also be beneficial. In return the company will offer a friendly and supportive environment in a convenient location with on site parking available.
