Global Accounting Network are working with a fast growing and exciting business in the property industry. We are looking for an autonomous accounts professional who can take full ownership of the financial and management accounting. This role will progress into a Financial Controller job, which allows the person moving into this role to work on a part-time flexible basis but still progress their career. We are looking for a strong individual who can work on a part-time basis, 2.5 days per week or the equivalent (flexible hours and days). This would be ideal for anyone seeking a company who offer a great deal of flexibility. A French native/fluent speaker would be beneficial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take the full ownership of the financial and management accounts for the UK entity:

- Preparation and posting of journal entries

- Issuing re-billing invoices

- Production of the quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts

- Prepare and submit VAT returns

- Liaise with our advisor for the preparation of the tax return

- Perform regular cash flow forecasting

- Producing annual budgets, - Producing statutory accounts

- Liaise with external auditors at year end

• Provide support to the M&A/development team when necessary

• Small general office management duties such as follow up of holidays, Ocado orders

• Follow up of travel expense reports

• Punctual assistance to the Head of finance on the following:

- Review the quarterly reporting of the holding companies and explain variances vs budget/last year;

- Assistance with cash management and forecast at the Group level;

For the hotels:

- Ensuring we receive monthly management accounts for hotels on time

- Providing monthly Sales and financial KPIs - Providing monthly cash flow and cash flow landing - If applicable, follow up of works in hotels

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping Knowledge of accounting systems and MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • French speaking is a plus
