Partner Financial are working with a global property business based in Central London. They are fast becoming the global leader in their sector due to their service focus; driving organic growth. The business continues to perform above market comparisons through acquisitions and by continuing investment in the company.
This role is responsible for monitoring the statutory reporting and accounting compliance across the EMEA entities; partnering and co-ordinating with local country accounting teams and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring statutory accounts across EMEA are completed, audited and filed in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicating and reporting the status, risks and significant issues around the statutory accounts to the EMEA Controller, CFO and Global Statutory Compliance Lead.
- Monitoring and driving compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance of internal control procedures within a SOX environment.
- Working with country teams to resolve issues of non-compliance with policies and controls.
- Reviewing contracts, evaluating and communicating accounting consequences of potential transactions.
- Training accounting teams on policies and technical matters within EMEA as required.
The Candidate
- Qualified Accountant.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, with relevant experience in statutory reporting.
- US GAAP and SOX experience is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
