Sapphire Independent Housing was first established in 1969 as Irish Centre Hostels before expanding into general needs housing in 1990s. Today, Sapphire Independent Housing is a successful modern and diverse housing association with a mixed tenure portfolio that provides homes, support and services to people across four London boroughs and South Hertfordshire.

The Role

Sapphire is ambitious for the future and we are now seeking a Director of Finance; this role is central to our success by ensuring that we have a modern and effective finance and IT function that supports us to achieve our mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of the Executive Team, the Director of Finance will be aligned to our mission and our 4 guiding principles. You will also strategically lead the finance function providing robust financial controls, external and internal audit risk management, treasury management, and IT. 

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate for the Director of Finance role will be a CCAB OR CIMA qualified accountant who has worked at a senior level in a regulated environment and will have proven experience of leading finance and IT functions. The ability to work strategically across the organisation is also essential.
