Assistant Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily, weekly and monthly bank and system reconciliations to internal and external stakeholders
• Support the Senior finance team with annual/quarterly budgets & forecasts
• Support and/or own various month end accounts including but not limited to; cost control, revenue reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis
• Prepare monthly MI reports to the business (finance and non-finance) highlighting key areas of risk/opportunity and suggest ways to improve/mitigate
• Help maintain the accounting GL ensuring robust data quality management
• Continuous review of practices to drive efficiencies and scalability
• Support other members of the finance team in times of absence, sick, etc.
• Ad-hoc project work when requested

Experience:

Essential:

• Part qualified and/or accounting degree
• 3 years+ in an accounting environment
• Month end reporting
• Budgeting / Forecasting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to communicate effectively

Preferable:

• Experience with SunSystems accounting software
• Experience in Banking, Insurance or similar sector
• Influence on senior stakeholders
