My client is an international FMCG group with some incredibly well known brands.
We are assisting with the recruitment of a Purchase ledger clerk, with the opportunity to study for AAT! and develop yourself in a large well matrixed company.
Purchase Ledger clerk
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the first point of contact for all relevant enquires both internally and externally
Invoice Processing
- Reconciliation of supplier statements, ensuring all information is up to date
- Capture supplier invoices in the accounting system and initiate workflow approval
- Daily follow up with appropriate budget holders to obtain invoice validation
- Dealing with day to day queries from suppliers and company employees
- Monitor the accounts payable inbox and ensure that supplier and internal queries are swiftly and appropriately responded to
- Preparing and processing BACS payments in accordance with company payment terms
Employee Expenses Processing
- Monthly processing of employee expenses, using Concur Web based tool
- Dealing with day to day queries from company employees
- Post general ledger journals as required
- Preparing and processing of expenses for monthly payments
Ad hoc reporting
- Assist in month and year end closing
- Prepare & analyse Aged Creditors monthly report
- Prepare and communicate internally breakdown of invoices to be approved
Education
A levels
Languages
English, second language is a plus
Professional experience & know how
- Experience of high volume invoice processing and automated approval workflow
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with good time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong problem solver who applies novel techniques to solve issues; challenges long hold beliefs when necessary
Technical & management skills :
- Software & computer skills: experience with SAP is preferable
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office proficient user
Personal & interpersonal skills :
- Calm and confident manner
- Strong communication skills; uses constructive language orally and in writing
- Reliable Team player with, who can work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Motivated to excel and perform the role to the best of their ability
