Group Financial Controller - ACA/ACCA - Creative Agency Group London

A Group Financial Controller is sought by an international award-winning Creative Agency with dynamic and fast paced culture; looking for a technically strong qualified ACA / ACCA Group Financial Controller. This Group Financial Controller role will own the group consolidation, approx £250m revenues, and will report into the Group FD as part of the group team.

The role of Group Financial Controller will suit someone with a background in practice and relevant experience working within a media environment, or someone currently in a group reporting role within the media/advertising sector - you should have a strong reporting background and be technically strong with acquisition accounting and group consolidations.

Key Responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller will include:

Producing group consolidated figures

• monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow)
• budgets & forecasts as required
• supplementary notes
• statutory accounts annually

Dealing with Technical Accounting Journals, including:

• Consolidation eliminations
• Acquisition accounting
• IFRS2, IFRS9, IFRS15, IFRS16

Key Attributes required as Group Financial Controller:

• Qualified ACA or ACCA
• 3-5 years+ experience within an advertising/media environment
• Previous experience at holding company level, ideally within an international group
• Robust and strong personality, and clear communicator
• Must be able to produce clear and accurate reporting on regular and timely basis
• Clear understanding of external annual reporting, including experience dealing with auditors
