Group Financial Accountant

Global Accounting Network have partnered exclusively with a diverse international business that operates in over 30 countries, across six continents. The company is within the private group sector focusing on six business areas including aviation, energy and real estate. This Group Financial Accountant position is a newly created role with room for progression and opportunities to move into different subsidiaries. 

What you will be doing: 

• Coordinating with international offices to accurately produce reports in a timely manner, adhering to Group deadlines 
• Management and development of two Assistant Group Accountants 
• Review subsidiary submissions 
• Preparation of sub-group consolidation results (quarterly management accounts, consolidation of forecasts, financial statements under IFRS) 
• Liaising with external auditors and tax advisors 
• The role will include occasional travel, predominantly in Europe 

Candidate requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) - 1 to 2 years PQE
• Practice or commercial accounting background 
• Group accounting experience 
• Experience of end to end preparation of statutory IFRS consolidated financial statements and audit 
• Good communication skills
