Accountant

My client, one of the most exciting non departmental public body's, is looking to recruit two interim Financial Accountants for a period of six months to start ASAP (week beginning 29/10/2019 latest.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will provide the organisation with accounting expertise to deliver complex statutory, regulatory and management reporting with effective and compliant internal controls, sharing the duties and responsibilities below as part of a team of Accountants to ensure high quality and efficient processes.

Specifically, they are looking for someone to backfill one of their existing Accountants to free them up to focus on integrating their new Finance system with other systems in the organisation.

Key skills include; the production statutory, consolidated group accounts; complex property portfolio accounting; balance sheet reconciliations; monthly management information; management reporting; production of VAT returns; maintenance and awareness of financial internal controls; managing finance system workflows and implementing/adapting to changes; supporting the Financial Controller as required.

You must be a Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and ideally have worked within the Public Sector.

With technical accounting experience and knowledge covering IFRS, SORP FRS102, including end to end production of individual company and consolidated group accounts and management reporting.

If you have experience of financial systems implementation, specifically NetSuite or Great Plains, this would be an added bonus.
