Heyland Recruitment have recently been engaged by our client, a large multinational manufacturing business in the Leeds area, as they seek to appoint an experienced Business Partner to perform a regional role, covering part of their southern UK division.

Reporting to the General Manager with a dotted line to the UK Finance Director, the Regional Business Partner will be responsible for collating and analysing management information to support and challenge operational, commercial and logistics business decisions. You will provide systems training for the operational, logistics & commercial teams, linking with business analysts to implement actions via the regional teams and maximising performance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the training and ongoing support of all regional staff, including managers, depot admin and commercial admin and logistics staff in Trade 2 / D365 / MRO
* Daily operations reports: checking margin transactions, confirmations, any other margin transactions
o This includes dealing with depot, commercial and logistics managers and checking and querying daily ops reports for Ferrous / Non Ferrous / Auto cost centres / logistics hubs
o Checking forecasts and ensuring they are accurate and entered in a timely manner
* Cash tin reconciliations - including ad hoc spot checks
* Stock reconciliation - Weekly and monthly checks on stock transfers
* Stock takes - checking stock takes and trends
* Monitoring of production and ensuring it is entered on a daily basis
* Month end journals - assist in the preparation of month end prepayments and accruals
* Month end reporting - producing management account reports at a depot, area and regional level for operations, commercial and logistics departments
* Budgets and forecasting - including asset replacement programme
* Landed cost reporting - creating pull for action/remedies to lower landed cost of product
* Following the process of the flow of tickets from start to finish and understanding where the problems can occur and how to fix them.
* Liaising with IT for developments and testing of new functions
* Inter-depot price and weight confirmations - ensure they are completed and policed in a timely manner and any discrepancies reported and investigated
* Trend analysis not limited to: grades, sectors, non-metallic material, volume, margin and overhead. Offering recommendations for business improvement
* Security reports and highlighting anomalies for action
* Assist in ad hoc reporting and analysis
* Proactive approach to continuous improvement within all aspects of the role in conjunction with the Business Improvement Team

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, qualified finance professional with proven experience in developing positive relationships with Executive, Senior & Depot Management. You will possess excellent presentation and data analysis skills, with a keen eye for detail and problem solving. Candidates with previous experience of working within a large manufacturing / production business will be of particular interest.
