Management Accountant (Manufacturing)

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business in Barnsley as they look to recruit a Qualified Management Accountant to be based at their Head Office operations. The business has several operating divisions with a Group Financial Controller and Finance Director overseeing the financials across the entire business. This role will report into this leadership structure along with another qualified Management Accountant.

The purpose of this role is to provide financial support by preparing the full monthly divisional management accounts including review as well as consistently striving to improve the quality of processes and systems in order to help create and maintain a robust and well-functioning finance department.

This is a varied business support role with duties to include: -

- Full preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
- Preparation of key reports for board pack
- Preparation of group and divisional stock turn reports
- Management of Bill of materials
- Inventory count reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assistance with standard costing reviews and system updates
- Monthly raw material variance analysis
- Preparation of accruals and prepayments for all divisions within the group
- Monthly journal preparations and posting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Value of production reporting
- KPI preparation and board report statistical analysis
- Cash Management
- Online banking system administration and creating and approving electronic payments
- Group cashflow forecasting
- Overall banking and cash reconciliations management
- Preparation of VAT reconciliations, Intrastat and National Statistics returns
- Assistance in preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register including additions, disposals and depreciation
- Management of outstanding Group Capex requests
- Assisting with the Annual Financial Audit
- Assistance with the preparation for and in liaison with external auditors
- Ad-hoc reporting as an when required

The successful Management Accountant will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

- Ideally CIMA or ACCA qualified
- Previous experience in a manufacturing business would be highly advantageous
- Good systems knowledge and Excel
- Strong finance background
- Proven interpersonal skills
