Progressive market leading property services /Construction group based near Waltham Cross/Enfield urgently require an experienced and Dynamic Finance professional to join a busy Accounts team .
You will report the Divisional Finance Director and work closely with a large Finance department and external Auditors to ensure effective controls,processes and information systems are in place to provide accurate and meaningful information to senior management
Specific responsibilities will include :

  • Improving and developing existing processes systems and procedures to enhance quality of information
  • Month end closure and Financial accounts preparation ,reporting and analysis
  • Balance sheet Reconciliations
  • Consolidations for 3 entities
  • Fixed Assets
  • VAT returns
  • Making Tax Digital
  • Corporation Tax / tax packs
  • Effective Cash management reporting monitoring and forecasting
  • Intracompany transactions
  • Joint venture accounting
  • Statutory accounting and compliance in accordance with company policy and latest legislation
  • Act as a focal point for Audit queries and working closely with the external auditors
  • Manage the year end statutory accounting process for 3 entities including tax reporting


The ideal candidate will be :

  • An ambitious /Dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and lots of enthusiasm and the versatility to adapt to any given situation
  • ACA or ACCA Qualified ,professional with strong financial accounting experience gained within a high volume transaction based environment ,who has worked in both the Profession and industry. OR someone looking for a first move out of the Profession
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both finance and non finance people
  • Pro active , Highly analytical and very attentive to detail with excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Previous experience gained with in a large contracting, construction ,property services / Facilities management type organisation supplying both private & public sector will be an advantage
  • Highly computer literate with Advanced Excel skills and exposure to large company systems such as Coins ,SAP ,Navision or similar.
