Moorgarth Property Management Ltd (MPML) is a part of the Moorgarth Group which invests in and operates both retail and commercial property throughout the UK.  MPML was established in 2015 to manage the extensive assets of the Moorgarth Group, their JV partners and other clients.  The business offers full breadth of property services from rent collection and statutory compliance to service charge budgeting and management and full facilities management solutions.

MPML is seeking to recruit a qualified Accountant to manage the finance team at their Head Office in Leeds city centre.  This role reports into the Moorgarth Property Management Directors and looks after all aspects of finance including monthly reporting, budgets and forecasts, AP, AR, Treasury and banking.

Managing a team of four, key tasks will include, but will not be limited to the following;

• Production of the monthly management accounts including KPIs and variance analysis
• VAT reporting and reconciliation
• Debtors and creditors reconciliations
• Service charge reporting and reconciliations
• Banking and operating client money bank accounts
• Accounts payable and Accounts receivable
• Keeping the Yardi Genisis accounting system up to date
• Payroll

The successful candidate will need to be a qualified Accountant with the following credentials:

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified with an excellent academic record.
• Be able to demonstrate progression and achievement in their career to date with lots of potential for future career progression.
• Demonstrate strong technical competency in the delivery and development of monthly and year end reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver the annual service charge audit process
• Excellent experience in cash management and forecasting.
• Positive leadership style and excellent communication skills
• Experience with accounting systems and their development, especially Yardi, would be advantageous.

Ideally you will also have property sector or facilities management experience although applications from high calibre candidates from other areas will also be considered.
