Newly Qualified Accountant -ACA/ACCA

This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a leading quasi-fintech which is experiencing rapid growth and has a fantastic client portfolio. This is a very hands on role with lots of ownership from the start and plenty of exposure to senior stakeholders at leading start-ups/fintech's.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a client portfolio for a diverse range of tech start-ups providing an excellent, proactive services for the seed to venture backed portfolio.
• Manage monthly management accounts, VAT, PAYE, CT600 delivery, and provide interim CFO support to small portfolio of clients
• Supervises monthly accounting month end close ensuring junior staff members deliver
• Management of the account’s runway, preparing statutory annual accounts for filing and returns to company house.
• Take a proactive role in improving information and procedures
• Onboarding clients to ensure the customer onboarding journey is seamless increasing client retention and relationships
• Liaise with legal advisors over any fund-raising issues and ensure procedures are met

Skills & Experience

• ACA/ACCA Newly Qualified – ideally from top tier practice
• Strong academic background – minimum 2.1 from University
• At least 3 years practice experience
• Experience of accounting for SME's/Fintech’s.
• Xero experience is a big advantage
