Financial Accountant

A new opportunity has arisen to work for this Global Aviation business based in their European Head Office. Reporting in to the Finance Controller, this is a very broad role and requires someone with a head for detail and real appreciation of financial control and reporting.

You will have full responsi8bility for several UK entities and all it’s related financial matters – think of this as a mini-FC role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year end statutory reporting
• Responsibility for ensuring that all the month end processes are completed in accordance with group deadlines
• Ensuring that Month End is completed in line with company reporting deadlines
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet for numerous entities
• Cash flow forecasting
• Internal controls testing
• Reviewing quarterly VAT returns
• Managing two members of the GL team

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) who has a strong background in financial reporting who looking to develop both a breadth in reporting skills and the opportunity to take on staff management responsibilities.

We are open to candidates from all commercial sectors, but you must have experience from a large business, ideally global.
