Senior Management Accountant | Wigan | £45,000 - £50,000 + Package (including bonus, pension, healthcare etc)

The opportunity
Hugely innovative FMCG group have a newly created opportunity for a commercially astute qualified Senior Management Accountant.

You will enjoy an extremely broad business-facing role within daily interaction with colleagues across various operational functions of the business (to director level).The role will report directly to the head of finance for this £100m turnover subsidiary of the group and you will play a pivotal and highly visible role in the future success of the business. There is a natural runway for you to step up into a more senior role over the next 2-3 years.

You will enjoy:
You will have a positive impact through leading the team, diligent accounting and insightful business partnering. It is key that you will enjoy business partnering with stakeholders across the group and proactively develop outstanding awareness of the levels of success within the production areas.

Your remit will give you exposure to detailed budgeting and forecasting, reporting on the operational drivers of success, influencing margin protection and profitability, overhead control, project accounting and investment appraisal.

The business requires:

• A formal qualification (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) completed.
• An ability to coach and lead a small team.
• A track record of success at management accountant / commercial accountant / senior management accountant level.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (daily and weekly reporting) - FMCG / manufacturing would be a distinct advantage.
• High level of systems / IT literacy and a keenness to automate and streamline.
• Super interpersonal skills and ability to get out into the business to really bring the numbers to life and provide insight into areas of success and improvement.
• Career focus - this will allow you to fast track
