The Opportunity

Expanding group have a newly created opportunity for a CIMA / ACCA qualified Senior Management Accountant.

You will report to the Senior Financial Controller for a £120m turnover divisional and enjoy playing a key role in supporting the senior leadership to make well-informed strategic decisions based upon insightful reporting, MI and analysis. You will manage a small team and ensure that the periodic pack is highly detailed, accurate and presented to the local board in a timely fashion.  Your insightful commentary will really add value. You will provide narrative to the numbers that provides a succinct window into reasons for variance, areas for opportunity, risks and current trending.

The business requires

The business is looking for a Senior Management Accountant who can provide input into increasing profit (by identifying current areas of true profitability and potential areas for increased bottom line).  The business is performing well but there is major appetite to invest in new products, efficiencies, technology and better ways of working.

You will be an ambitious and driven management accountant with a highly proactive approach to working with non-finance colleagues. You will be comfortable in a changing environment and enjoy being part of a growth plan. Your career trajectory will be well mapped, and it is hoped you will become FC / Commercial FC over the next 18 months – 2 years.

You will need

• A professional qualification (ACCA / ACA / CIMA)
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changeable environment (experience of retail, distribution or manufacturing would be helpful)
• Excellent relationship-building skills and a professional, assertive approach to business partnering.
• Excellent IT skills
• Willingness to suggest change and deliver projects.
• Ambition – this would suit someone looking to progress their career having qualified in the last couple of years.
