Growing private-equity backed group based near Puriton, Somerset have a newly created opportunity for a Management Accountant.  You will ideally have completed either AAT or an accounting degree and be looking to complete CIMA or ACCA.

The role will be extremely broad.  You will be working within a growing manufacturing business and enjoy plenty of interaction with colleagues within the operational and commercial functions of the business.

You will enjoy mentoring and coaching from the Financial Controller and be involved in management accounts and MI reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, variance analysis and reporting, forecasting, new product costing.

You will play a key role in specific continuous improvement projects including finance systems upgrades, margin and profit analysis projects and supporting new product planning / costing.

You will need:

• AAT / a relevant degree as a minimum (you will ideally already be progressing through CIMA).
• Firm knowledge of Excel functions (pivots / lookup / sum if ideally)
• A strong demonstrable core accounting skill set – knowledge of accruals and prepayments, reconciliations, P&L analysis, reporting.
• A real keenness to learn and proactive approach to problem solving.
• Professional and confident communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
