Assistant Accountant | Luton (some travel to Nottingham) | Up to £30,000 per annum
Our client, a leading and innovative and leading business in their sector, have a need for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is a newly created role to support the Financial Controller with day to day finance tasks, financial analysis and reporting.
The Assistant Accountant will be involved in the following:
- VAT returns
- Intrastat/EC Sales
- Reconciliations
- Payroll processing
- Budgets and Forecasting
- CAPEX
- Financial reporting
- Period end tasks
- Assisting with audit preparation
- Ad hoc financial support as needed
The ideal candidate for the Assistant Accountant role will have proven experience in all or most of the above, have advanced Excel and systems skills and be available for interview/start at short notice. Whilst the role is based in Luton some travel will be required to their site near Nottingham on a weekly basis, likely to be 1-2 days a week. It is therefore essential that applicants are willing to travel.
This is a great role with the intention that the suitable candidate will progress to a more senior finance role within the business.
