A global property company is looking to recruit a Qualified Financial Accountant to join their London head office in a technical role. The key focus of this role is statutory reporting and accounting compliance for the UK, Europe and Jersey entities as well as related corporate projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for…
- Production of statutory accounts for all UK & Europe, Jersey and US entities, ensuring compliance with FRS 102, or IFRS as applicable, including:
- liaising with corporate accountants, tax, legal and company secretarial departments
- liaising with auditors
- ensuring all accounts filed within required timescales, statutory or otherwise
- responsible for producing co-ordinated statutory accounts and tax filing and compliance timetable
- continuous improvement of the accounts production process
- Technical assistance in relation to new accounting standards
- Assistance with Corporate Finance projects, including restructuring and liquidations
- Other ad hoc projects relating to UK Group entities
- Accounts production system management and maintenance
- Preparation of iXBRL file for submission to HMRC with tax return
We’re looking for someone with…
- ACA qualified accountant or equivalent
- Experience of preparing statutory accounts using an accounting software (OneSource is a strong advantage, as is SAP)
- Experience of preparing Limited Partnership accounts is a strong advantage
- Experience of dealing with auditors and other members of the finance team
- Experience of having worked alongside company secretarial and tax
- Exposure with Group/Corporate restructuring is an advantage
- FRS 102 accounting knowledge
- Knowledge of IFRS and differences to FRS 102
