We are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to support the EMEA Finance team in the financial management of the region by providing timely, relevant and insightful financial analysis. Specifically responsibility for the management and communication of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes across the EMEA region, as well as the day-to-day management of a small Finance team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business, the region and the individual agencies within the region.
  • Manage regional FP&A process. Responsible for liaising directly with company CFOs and driving the annual planning / budget, quarterly and annual forecast submissions to Global Planning. Including but not limited to:
    • Set appropriate deadlines for submissions across the EMEA region.
    • Understand and develop improved e-technologies for data collection across the EMEA region.
    • Ascertain market trends and proactively identify risks impacting full year results.
    • Develop, communicate and monitor key performance indicators for the EMEA region.
    • Monitor and escalate headcount / staffing issues.
    • Prepare regular presentations to McCann Worldgroup Worldwide management.
  • Detailed financial review and understanding of agencies including P&L, Balance Sheet, capital investment requirements, working capital, client profitability, new business wins and losses, property leases and ad hoc business plans.
  • Apply the understanding of assigned agencies (clients, revenue mechanics, staffing, etc) to provide commercially focused financial advice.
  • Partner with agency CFO’s to provide financial insight and optimize profitability and overall business performance through financial analysis and recommending improvement to financial, commercial and operational procedures.
  • Month end review, variance analysis and commentary by territory. Focus on potential impact on delivery of year-end targets and advising on taking remedial action as required.
  • Oversee the budgeting process and financial reporting of the EMEA HQ function.
  • Financial lead for all affiliate agencies.
  • Responsible for the regional consolidation of all capex budgets and approvals.
  • Work on special projects as required.

 

Skills and Experience

  • CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Advertising industry experience preferable, but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Stong FP&A experience
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel, Word and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to assess financial data and use initiative to recommend actions
  • Ability to persuade and influence at various levels
  • Experience of Hyperion preferred
