Financial Accountant

Our client is an established, entrepreneurial, and fully integrated property company.  They have a varied portfolio made up of retail and leisure assets across Europe. As part of their continued drive to improve the finance function, they are now looking for a qualified Accountant to join the team in London.  This role will sit in a team of 6, and will report to the Group FC and will involve financial reporting & technical accounting under IFRS.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to the production of the Group’s consolidated financial statements, including:
• Preparing quarterly reconciliations and resolving any unsubstantiated balances
• Contribute to the production of the Group’s annual and interim financial statements
• Assisting in reviewing the impact of new accounting standards

• Preparation of statutory financial statements for group entities under IFRS
• Preparation of quarterly and half yearly financial statements for group entities
• Liaising with group auditors
• Contributing to the preparation of iXBRL tax tagging

Person specification

• Qualified accountant with up to 2 years PQE
• Demonstrable financial reporting and technical accounting skills, specifically IFRS
• Ambitious, highly driven and motivated
• First class commercial intuition, and can apply a smart approach to problem solving
• Candidates with experience of UK listed plc reporting experience or investment property sector experience will be advantageous
• Experience if using Agresso (general ledger) and CCH Accounts  software will be an advantage
• Ability to build good relationships with senior stakeholders
