Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is a Multi Academy Trust with Schools in Kent, Surrey, London and Essex. They are looking to recruit a creative strategist who can rapidly develop a deep understanding of the financial
mechanisms and support service requirements of the Trust. You will join a strong, forward-looking and supportive Executive Leadership Team and will work closely with the CEO to secure its continuing success and support further development and growth of the Trust.

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will be accountable for all aspects of Finance within the MAT and its School’s. The CFO will work in close co-operation with the Chief Executive, Directors and the Trust Secretary to ensure that an appropriate financial policy and governance framework is in place to guide and monitor the MAT’s financial decision making and economic management of resources.

As CFO you will be responsible for the strong and efficient strategic planning, management and accounting for all Trust finances and resources.

You will support the CEO, Executive Head Teachers and Head Teachers to make informed strategic decisions, underpinned by robust financial forecasting, management and auditing of school budgets.

The CFO will ensure the organisation is compliant with all company and school related financial policies, regulations and monitoring processes. You will lead on all matters relating to Trust compliance issues to include Building Regulations, Health & Safety, Insurances, Company Governance and all related compliance matters.

As CFO you will support the wider financial strategic aims of the Multi Academy Trust ensuring that Executive Leadership Team, Trust Board and Local Governance are updated with timely and accurate financial information and to lead on supporting the Finance & Resources Committee.

You will be responsible for the management of the MAT’s estate and provision of up to date Information Technology for the Trust, Schools and Board.

Qualifications & Experience:

You will have a demonstrable track record of success in the effective leadership and delivery of business support services and managing transformational change;

You will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence and negotiate effectively;

You may come from private, public, voluntary or education sector backgrounds.

Ideally you will be CIMA or ACCA Qualified
