Head of Development Accounting and Reporting

As Head of Development Accounting and Reporting, you’ll pro-actively support the Development Finance Director in providing high level advice and strategic guidance to Group and subsidiary Boards and the Investment Committee on all matters of development finance and investment.   

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Contribute to the development business strategy ensuring that risk and return are identified and clearly communicated to senior decision makers, in liaison with the Development and Treasury teams. 
• Monitor and report the on-going performance of the Group’s development portfolio ensuring that risks are flagged and action is taken to manage or mitigate any deviation against plans via production of Exception reports.
• Manage compliance with the Group’s investment appraisal framework, policies and procedures, monitoring and KPIs ensuring alignment with corporate governance, risk management, strategic and business planning objectives.
• Working collaboratively with the business, maintain a robust development programme monitoring and reporting service which meets the needs of all stakeholders, including Investment Committee and Relevant Boards.

To be successful in this role, you’ll be a qualified accountant and already have proven experience within the industry, preferably at a large company, including a good working knowledge of Development Finance.

Ideally you’ll come from a residential property background with a strong track record of the production of complex and sophisticated financial plans. You will also have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver change as part of a wider senior management team.
