Introduction

This is an excellent opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our business as a key member of the finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.  You will be responsible for the timely and accurate production of monthly accounts in order to gain an understanding of the underlying trends in the business and to drive operational efficiencies and improvements.

The Financial Accountant role

You will be responsible for:

• delivering Full Balance Control with comprehensive monthly reconciliations
• assisting with the development of policy and procedures to deliver a cost control environment with compliance reporting to monitor this
• supporting the month end financial close process
• preparing and submitting VAT returns and other statutory reporting

Your profile

You will be a qualified accountant with a UK recognised qualification, such as; ACA, ACCA, CIMA and have strong technical accounting knowledge. Ideally you will have experience of working in the construction industry.
