Management Accountant/ Business Partner

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are proud to be working in partnership with a successful manufacturing business in Rotherham as they look to recruit a commercially-minded Management Accountant to work in outward-facing role to offer support to their various sites.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will have a close business relationship and business partner with the various site and Business Managers for multiple sites of the division. As an integral part of each of the Management Team, the Management Accountant will have responsibility for all financial matters.

This will be a varied role with duties will include:

* Partnering with the Operations Director and Commercial Manager to assess any new business opportunities or operational improvements
* Main finance point of contact driving business optimisation initiatives to enhance the profitability and reduce costs
* Formulation of realistic and challenging quarterly forecasts and annual plans using the activity-based costing approach to support the required business growth
* Preparation of monthly Management Accounts under UK and US GAAP to be presented to the EMEA Leadership Team in the Monthly Operations Review
* Analysis of revenue by key drivers with insightful variance commentary
* Engendering a strong culture of cost control to deliver optimum operating expenditure
* Oversight of procurement activities ensuring timely & accurate reporting of the main cost categories
* Monitor the ageing of Accounts Receivable to drive the collections for any overdue receipts through establishing effective relationships
* Assessment of the valuation of inventories and fixed assets under construction
* Completion of all balance sheet controls, including reconciliations, ensuring full SOX compliance
* Support the UK Finance team in assessing appropriate credit limits for key customers
* Providing any ad-hoc analysis required by the EMEA or Divisional Finance teams

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

* Fully ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA Qualified
* Manufacturing or similar industry experience would be desirable but not essential
* Intermediate/ Advanced Excel Skills
* Experience of Large company ERP systems (e. Oracle, SAP, etc.)
* Strong influencing/ negotiating skills
* Attention to detail
* Able to form strong work relationships
* Highly organised - ability to deliver to tight deadlines
* Effective verbal & written communication skills
