Senior Finance Analyst required for a leading non-for-profit organisation based in the city of Manchester

Your new role
The Senior Financial Analyst is a member of the central reporting team working under the guidance of the Head of Financial Reporting and Research Finance. You will work with senior colleagues to develop automated financial models and use financial analysis skills to improve reporting processes. You will play a key role in establishing a routine of reporting activity both internally to senior leadership and externally to sector regulators. You will also support the coordination of financial analysis to enhance the use of financial data and the University's reporting capability.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to engage colleagues at all levels, including those without financial expertise. A Proven analytical and financial modelling skills and be adept in converting financial data to usable management information for strategic decision making You will be able to develop creative solutions to streamline complex business processes and take advantage of new technology to drive forward improvements and be motivated both to work as a team member, supporting others, and to work under own initiative Having the ability to manage and prioritise different and sometimes conflicting workloads and plan effectively to meet deadlines. Strong IT skills, particularly in accounting systems, excel and MI/BI tools and possess excellent organisational skills and a willingness to work flexibly
