Interim Financial Modeller

Accountancy Recruit work with a diverse range of businesses from small, owner managed companies to large PLCs throughout the UK. We are currently partnering with a large client in the Midlands and have a requirement for a Financial Modeller for a 6month duration. The Financial Modeller will work closely with a dynamic, experienced FD and will take ownership of further developing a complex financial model using MS Excel.

The Financial Modeller will be required to:

• Work closely with the wider team to understand the key drivers of the business and ensure the model is fit for purpose.
• Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to communicate at all levels to fully understand the business requirements.
• Amend and improve the model to ensure it fulfills requirements and provides outcomes for various different scenarios.
• Demonstrate advanced Excel skills and ideally some VBA programming expertise.
• Draw upon a solid track record of financial modelling with the ability to handle significant amounts of data and produce meaningful analysis and outcomes.
• Deal with complex mathematical concepts and be capable of abstracting ideas and delivering a suitable approach to problem solving.
• Ideally you will have a background in either restructuring or M&A where you have modelled various scenarios and made recommendations based on different outcomes.
