Senior Finance Officer
Permanent - full time
£25-30,000 per annum
Swansea

I'm looking for someone with plenty of experience in finance and book keeping, as well as some experience of office co-ordination and management. You will need to have robust exposure to transactional finance; sales and purchase ledgers, payment runs and journals. You will need to be able to use Financial systems such as SAGE and any experience with XERO could be advantageous and should be highlighted on your CV
Part of your role will be to gather and report information and to keep records on employee hours, holidays and sickness as well as any maternity leave etc, so although you will not be running end to end payroll (the final stages will be dealt with by an external accountancy firm), some experience with Payroll would be extremely valuable. You will monitor, track and record using Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, so a high level of competency with those is mandatory. You will also be picking up a lot of duties relating to the office facilities; licences, insurance, some fleet hire management as well as a full range of expenses control and management

You will report to the directors and the external accountant but will constantly liaise with the other departments and teams; your management style will be collaborative and persuasive....... you will be an expert at getting people organised and working towards a common goal.

This role will develop over time, growing to accommodate your increased confidence and proficiency and as such it could be a fantastic opportunity for someone who feels that they have a lot of unrealised potential in their current role.... but you will need to have the basics outlined in this advert. This role is only right for someone with significant experience, and the ability to manage a small team will be essential as you will acquire a couple of direct reports within the next 12 months!
