Your new role
In the role of Payroll Manager, you will be duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsibility for employee transactional Payroll Services for 4000+ colleagues
  • Payroll team management including review of teams activities and finding ways of working to enhance efficiency
  • Payroll Management / Audit / Compliance
  • Review, improve, document and implement processes & procedures to ensure their compliance, accuracy, resilience and they are fit for purpose now and in the immediate future.
  • Effective use of all HR and Payroll systems (iTrent) and technology
  • Be the primary contact within the team for partnering with cross functional stakeholders who require central Payroll support
  • Be accountable for all Payroll process management to ensure best practice and legally compliant approaches that are consistently applied
  • Identify and drive forward projects that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Payroll function and its contribution to the business e. opportunities for process automation and introduction of new or upgraded technologies
  • Ensure delivery of management information through the provision core data and analysis that stands-up to scrutiny and upon which key management decisions regarding business performance can be made.



What you'll need to succeed
You should be excited by the fast-paced ever-changing challenges working in payroll brings. Ideally you should have experience of iTrent or at least be highly adept at using technology to harness efficiency and upskill your colleagues. Experience of managing a Payroll function is a must as is an enthusiasm to embrace change and a passion for continuous improvement. You will need strong organisational skills, a high attention to detail, be thorough and procedurally driven with strong will-power and communication skills. The right candidate will be able to build relationships at every level of the company and be comfortable dealing with high volume, highly sensitive and confidential matters. A commercial focus is desirable as is the ability to influence; you will be an exceptional people leader and a champion of driving new methods and practices within a fast-paced, evolving workplace.
