Marks Sattin is partnering with an exciting legal business who has created a Compliance Officer opportunity working from the Leeds office. With a strong 2019 and sustainable workload through the initial COVID lock down, this business is coming out in a good place and is now further investing into the compliance function.


Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing the day to day compliance of the firms' regulatory commitments. Working in a legal firm, you will have exposure and experience of SAR's as well as insight into what good looks like from a regulatory perspective.


You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing audit files and ledgers to ensure client balance are dealt with in line with SAR's and the firms' policy.
  • Manage and collate compliance data to provide insightful reports for the senior management team.
  • Ensure root cause analysis when breaches are identified and effective controls are implemented and regularly reviewed.

With this being a brand new role, you will need to feel comfortable working in an autonomous environment as you will be managing your own work load, coupled up with driving the strategic direction of the compliance function.
