In-house Senior Tax Manager Job - Partnership Tax, Legal Sector, Edinburgh or Glasgow, £negotiable + benefits

Your new company
Hays is delighted to be partnered with a modern, international Law Firm to recruit for a Senior Tax Manager who will be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. You will be joining an impressive firm with over 8 thousand employees based across 70 offices. This opportunity is primarily the result of two factors; substantial and sustained growth, and a promotion within the Tax Team. This role may be fulfilled on a full-time or part-time basis (4 days per week) and the organisation offers brilliant working conditions; beautiful open plan offices with flexible and remote working as well as a dynamic culture.

Your new role
Joining a medium-sized in-house Tax Team which is part of a substantial and reputable Finance Department, you will support the management of the tax affairs for the firm, focusing primarily on Partnership Tax. Your remit will compliment a Team made up of a Head of Tax, International Tax Senior Manager, Partner Tax Manager and several Tax Advisers. You will meet demands for tax reporting, compliance, planning, controversy and strategy. This will include advice on the formation, operation, merger, division and acquisition of domestic and multi-national partnership structures. You will manage tax risk, ensuring thorough knowledge of changing legislation and reviewing processes and procedures to identify scope for improvement. You will build excellent relationships with Partners and stakeholders whilst also liaising with the relevant tax authorities.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have significant experience in Partnership Tax, from either an accountancy or legal firm. This will ideally be supported by a relevant professional qualification, for example ICAS/ICAEW/CTA/ADIT. You will evidence strong technical knowledge, both in relation to compliance and planning, with a proven ability to interpret and communicate complex tax statute.

What you'll get in return
In addition to working for a Top 10 Legal Firm, you will receive a competitive salary. You will also gain an excellent range of benefits; bonus scheme of up to 20%; 25 days annual leave with option to buy up to 5 further days; interest free loan for travel season ticket; heath-checks; subsidised gym membership of 50%; life assurance; private medical and dental insurance; critical illness cover; and pension scheme.
