This well-established, fast-growing commercial business in the service sector, have a strong presence across the UK and an expanding team in Northamptonshire.

Your new role
They are currently looking for a strong payroll lead to drive a team of payroll administrators ensuring that they deliver an efficient and accurate payroll to its c. 8,000 employees. In this position you would have a 'hands on' involvement in delivering the payroll, and would be managing and mentoring a small team and reviewing their work. You would be responsible for forward planning and developing the payroll systems, continuously looking for ways of improvement, building strong and effective relationships between the payroll and HR and Operations departments.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this appointment will be IPP qualified with a demonstrable and recent track record successfully leading a payroll team. You will have a comprehensive working knowledge of complex payroll functions and systems and be up to date with payroll legislation. Key personal qualities required include: confidence, high energy, positive nature and calm and structured approach. Knowledge of the ADP payroll system would be highly advantageous.
