Salary: £60,000 to £74,323 per annum

Our client is looking for an Actuary, or an experienced part-qualified Actuary, to join the team. The Actuary role supports the provision of actuarial advice to the Board by carrying out or checking a range of actuarial, quantitative finance or modelling processes. They are also responsible for the quality and timeliness of the outputs.
The role will be responsible for the calculation and sign-off of actuarial models, making recommendations, implementing process changes and improvements within the team and presenting the results of actuarial work to relevant committees. They will also be involved in the planning, development and implementation of cross team work.
They are looking for an Actuary who has previous experience gained within the pension industry or insurance industry. Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of UK defined benefit pension schemes, and have some relevant experience in that area. You may be a qualified actuary with demonstrable experience or be a part-qualified actuary with significant relevant industry experience to apply for this role. What is important is the experience you have gained to date, as they are looking for an individual who has the knowledge of relevant actuarial specialities (e.g. pensions, risk, valuations, investments, modelling), who is numerical and has strong analytical and communication skills.
