Badenoch and Clark are working exclusively with a manufacturing business in Worcester who are seeking a Financial Accountant.

The purpose of the role will include' general accounting, administration, support the payroll process, support audits, offer support to sales and participation to the budget and strategic plan preparation.

You will be responsible for all general accounting and GL functions for the manufacturing and business activities, also within this role you will be responsible of the line manager of one accounts assistant.

Main duties:

* General accounting: Key participant in month, quarter and year end closings including posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts and entering data for consolidated financial statements.
o Responsible for the preparation of journals for month end and reports
o Checking and authorizing all purchase invoices posted to the ERP system
o Responsible for preparation of profit and loss analysis, variances against previous year and budget, balance sheet reconciliation, and preparation of management accounts file
o Responsible for reconcile suppliers accounts and checking receivables and credit controls
o Responsible for Bank management and cash reconciliation.
o In charge of setting up payments, and any emergency payments
o Prepare the figures and put them into HFM for reports

*Participation to the budget and strategic plan preparation:
o Participation in the preparation of the budget figures during budget period
o Participation in the preparation of the business plan figures and information during the strategy period
* Support auditors:
o Preparation of year end audit schedules and key participant in the financial audit process.
o Liaise with Auditors and External Accountants to support their audits and provide required information

IT Skills:
* Proficiency with Office software programs required (email, spreadsheet, word processor, and presentation).
* Hyperion Financial Management (Oracle) experience is a plus
* Experience in using ERP (SAP experience is a plus)

To be successful with this application you must have the following:

* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Experience within a management/financial accountant role.
* Knowledge of IFRS
* Managerial/supervisory experience would be desirable.
