Do you love engaging with the wider business in your current position, and craving the opportunity to stand alone and take the next step in your career in a business partner role?
Are you familiar with manufacturing processes/environments, understanding ERP systems and how you can relate all of this to finance?
Haig & Co. are working very closely with a Birmingham based manufacturing focussed business, believe it or not in one of the more desirable areas of the city – you could almost describe as picturesque! With the opportunity to join a fast-growing business, your role as Manufacturing Business Partner will be an integral part to future business success.
Working on a wide variety of different projects, you will make use of your manufacturing experience to help teams in analysis and review of recorded data whilst also investigating ‘off system’ data, that can influence crucial decision making.
As your new job title suggests, this role is all about working in partnership with multiple teams to enhance business processes, assessing potential improvements and testing to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
You’ll be able to demonstrate the ability to work in conjunction with other business areas. This role will position you alongside the wider finance, IT and manufacturing teams to design and implement improvements in reporting and finance month end processes for Directors and Managers. If month end stock valuations, provisions, cost rolls and scenario analysis are real life experiences for you, this role is likely to push your buttons in the right way!
If you’re not opposed to working closely with a Group Financial Controller (very keen to help you blossom in your career with the business), and preparing commentary and analysis for presentation to the senior management team, this Business Partner role sounds like the right way to bring 2020 to a positive close.
Any bad news? You will be required to contribute to and support year end, as well as dealing with the external auditors. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not too bad!
Anything else you need to know? For complete transparency prior to your application, you will need to be qualified or at least be close to reaching the holy grail (of note, your new boss is willing to support your studies via funding and the odd bit of moral support. Your experience in manufacturing is essential – at the very least you’ll know what an ERP system looks like. Perhaps you’ve been an accountant in a manufacturing business, or audited stock? If so, and you’re craving that opportunity to join the world of business partnering, please apply now etc etc………
