Management Accountant

Exciting new role reporting into the Financial Controller.

Based in Nottingham

Client Details

The successful candidate will be joining an established business to work in a role that offer lots of variety and have sole responsibility of the businesses budgets and forecasts.

Description

• Leading month end processes, reconciliations and reporting
• Posting of month end journals
• Fixed asset accounting including register maintenance
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Variance analysis, investigating any discrepancies
• Review of month end tasks performed by others in the department
• Other month end processes as required
• Managing the nominal ledger, including setting up and maintaining nominal accounts
• and cost centres
• Running the annual budgeting and periodic re forecasting processes for the businesses central teams
• Working closely with budget holders and other heads of department to develop and maintain the
• firm's budget and forecast models
• Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts
• Reviewing payroll alongside the Payroll Manager
• Producing monthly management accounts for the bank and quarterly covenant reporting
• Completion of the quarterly VAT returns, the quarterly EC Sales listing,
• National Statistics returns and other statutory returns as required
• Assisting in producing the annual statutory accounts
• Carrying out project work as and when required

Profile

• Must be a qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong Excel and experience of Word is essential
• Confident, articulate and adept in obtaining and processing large volumes of data
• Good attention to detail and experience of working to deadlines
• Previous experience of working within a similar role
