Finance Manager job in Wrexham for a growing SME paying up to £40,000.
Hays have been appointed by a growing SME in the Wrexham area as they prepare to bring their accounts in-house from their external Accountants. This business has grown year on year and won awards for innovation from leading bodies. The business has now hit a critical point where the Managing Director wants to ensure financial controls are in place whilst also gaining greater visibility over finance with meaningful MI.
As Finance Manager you will work closely with the external accountants to transition to an in-house department and ensure all the relevant controls are in place. You will take full ownership for transactional accounting as well producing a full P&L and management accounts. You will work with the Managing Director to identify useful management reports and KPIs. These will then be automated using Xero.
This is a broad and hands on role so you will need to be prepared to do everything from posting journals through to year end accounting. This will also include all payroll. There is support in the office but ultimately the Finance Manager is the accounts department.
There is an opportunity to take on a broader role in time and take a lead on HR, IT and general management for the right candidate. This is a growing SME so the job can be as broad as you want to make it.
