Due to business growth and expansion, Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working in partnership with a reputable organisation based in the Rotherham area as they look to bring on board a committed and enthusiastic Business Analyst.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to join a friendly and supportive team on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be a confident user of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, v look ups & macros) and ideally have a basic knowledge of SQL as they will take on the responsibility of providing high quality and timely business information to support the continued performance improvement and strategic decision-making of a growing business!

Duties & responsibilities of the Business Analyst will include:

* Timely and accurate reporting of sales performance
* Responsibility of presenting information to individuals at varying levels across the organisation
* Use a combination of reporting and databases to identify trends and gaps in sales performance
* Work closely with other departments and senior stakeholders to gather reporting requirements
* Play a key role in data-driven decision making
* Supporting Head of Finance & Head of Analytics in business planning and financial modelling through to provision of ad-hoc analysis and data.

Essential competencies:

* Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Macros, Pivot Tables & Advanced Formulas
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask
* Basic knowledge of SQL (willingness to develop knowledge further)
* Strong numerical skills & attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at varying levels
