Assistant accountant

Assistant Accountant required, Immediate start full time permanent role in Melksham.

Your new company

You will be working for a manufacturing company on the outskirts of Bath who require an Assistant accountant to join their team.

Your new role

You will be supporting the finance department and wider business by completing accounting tasks. Preparing budgets, maintaining reports and completing accounting duties for the company.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need a degree level or working towards / qualified accounting qualification such as CIMA/ACCA. You must have experience as an Assistant Accountant in a business environment for at least 3 years. Other duties include stakeholder management, Analysis and accuracy, strong use of excel, understand of SAP and you must be a team player. You will be leading the month end financial closure process which includes: Creating and processing correction journals, recurring journals and processing of recharges, Performance of reviews and variance analysis of P&L accounts, accruals and prepayments accounts. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for review with FC/FD.
