Redx is an AIM listed UK biotechnology company with innovative programmes in cancer and fibrosis. Redx uses its proven drug discovery expertise to identify, develop and test small molecule medicines, progressing these drugs until they are ready for large scale testing, regulatory approval and mass production, which will most likely be undertaken by a large pharma partner.

Redx has recently secured a $30mn financing package from two specialist life science investment funds. It has also secured a partnering deal with AstraZeneca, worth up to $17m in initial payments, with a further $360million payable on development and commercial milestones. The Role:

To support the accelerating growth curve, Redx are looking for a Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to build a robust FP&A function and provide senior stakeholders in the organisation with sound commercial and strategic challenge as the portfolio grows. Key aspects of this Group FP&A Manager role will include:

• Financial planning for the Group, inclusive of budgeting and forecasting, preparing analysis for internal leadership and external stakeholders (investors and partners) on current performance against plan.
• Full ownership of management reporting, ensuring the reporting is accurate, insightful and provides the Board and CEO/CFO with key commentary and analysis to support decision making.
• Working with Business Development team on business cases and valuation models to support our licensing/in licensing deals.

The Candidate:

We are looking for a commercially astute, emotionally intelligent, finance leader with the intellectual capability to work in a fast-paced biotech business. Working in a lean, dynamic business will require exceptional team working skills, EQ and modesty.

• ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified with demonstrable achievements and experience in Finance Business Partnering and Financial Planning & Analysis.
• High level of intelligence and sharp commercial acumen, with the ability to work at pace and manage multiple deliverables in parallel.
• Desire and capability to progress into a more senior role.
