SF Recruitment have been engaged exclusively by our Nottingham based client to recruit a Financial Controller in to their business. The company, a PE backed extremely fast growth service based SME are seeking an exceptional Financial Controller to join them at this very exciting time with plans for this role to develop. With 2 recent acquisitions and more in the pipeline and aggressive plans for growth this role will offer exceptional exposure for the successful candidate.

As the Financial Controller you will be reporting into the CFO, with management responsibility for a small accounts function (Although this is set to grow in line with business growth). You will be integral in ensuring integration of acquisitions in to the group and have involvement in a number of key planned projects as well as leading all day to day finance activity.

 Key Responsibilities;

  • Working with key stakeholders including the CEO and Sales Director
  • Monthly management accounts and consolidation
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Group accounts consolidations
  • Overseeing all day to day finance functions
  • System development/process improvements
  • Reporting/Analysis
  • Recruiting long term hires in to the finance structure to support future growth
  • Integration of acquisitions and support with identified future potential acquisitions

You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with ambitions to further develop in the future and grow with a business. You should have previous experience of working in a fast paced and rapidly growing environment (ideally PE) and plenty of operational hands on management accounting experience.  Exceptional IT skills including advanced Excel. You will have commercial acumen, with the ability to cope with and drive change and manage multiple projects.  You will be detailed focus and are able to drive efficiencies. It would be advantageous if you already have integration experience and have worked within the service space. You have extremely well developed communication skills and enjoy team management.
