A well-known, highly credible business based in Sheffield is looking to expand its accounts payable team with the appointment of a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a full-time, 3-month contract basis with potential to extend.

This is an excellent opportunity for an immediately available experienced purchase Ledger professional who has had previous experience working through a backlog of invoices and dealing with complex invoice queries, in exchange for an excellent platform to work with a forward thinking business in a busy team environment.

Your New Role

Key duties of the Purchase Ledger Clerk will include:

  • Day-to-day clerical activities in the Accounts Payable department
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices onto the system
  • Working though backlog of un-allocated invoices
  • Issuing remittance advice
  • Processing expenses
  • Completing major supplier statement and bank reconciliations
  • Investigating discrepancies and liaising with stakeholders to resolve
  • Various administrative support duties as required for the role

About You

The business is keen to speak to Purchase Ledger and Accounts Payable specialists who demonstrate:

  • Excellent level of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot tables
  • Experience within a fast-paced, high volumes accounts payable environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines

Salary

On offer for the Purchase Ledger Clerk will be a competitive pro rata salary equivalent to £17,000 - £18,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
