Financial Controller - Technology

My exclusive client, based in Manchester, is an entrepreneurial group of early stage Software/Technology SME's boasting some of the most exciting and innovative new products and services within the "new economy" sector.

Reporting directly to the CFO and Main Board, the Financial Controller will play a key role to support new investments through the life-cycle of their growth development leading to eventual exit with the aim to generate optimal shareholder value.

Key responsibilities will include:

• On-boarding new start-up and early stage companies with the introduction of new systems and processes to professionalise the business infrastructure as a platform for profitable growth.
• Set up of robust reporting mechanisms and KPI's to ensure timely and accurate regular reporting of financial and operational performance.
• Collate and consolidate monthly management accounts and report results to the CFO and Board.
• Along with the CFO, proactive support to the various local MD's and their Management teams to achieve their strategic growth ambitions - from providing financial analysis and business justifications for new product development initiatives, expanding into wider business and geographical markets, M&A/acquisitions through to assessing additional growth funding requirements. 

The successful candidate will be a graduate qualified accountant with hands-on experience/exposure to working in a range of SME environments within growth-focused Management teams and be capable of translating your experience to this diverse range of early stage Tech companies. 

You are likely to have operated either directly in similar growth SME's and/or with a background in a professional firm environment - Structured Finance/Debt Advisory/Restructuring/Corporate Finance - providing similar business and funding support to SME clients.
