Financial Controller - Exclusive to SF Recruitment

Our client, a very well established, owner managed business based near Burton on Trent are seeking a talented Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join their business and head up all aspects of finance reporting in to the company owner.

To apply for this role its required that you hold a formal accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and possess excellent working experience to date in broad accounting roles. You should be completely comfortable operationally involved in the detail as well as interacting with their prestigious client base and at board level meetings.

This Financial Controller position is a new appointment, has 2 direct reports and will undertakew all aspects of accounting for 3 entities. Key responsibilities will include

- Mainiting all financial records for the company - Sage/Excel
- Preparation of all monthly and quarterly Management accounting - financial statements, P&L
- Cashflow forecasting
- VAT/HMRC reporting
- Year end - annual statutory accounts
- Budgetting and planning
- Review and improvement of accounting processes to improve efficiencies
- Commercial partnering including analysis of pricing/margins
- Complex client reporting
- Management of a small team of 2

This role is ideally suited to a candidate with demonstratable experience in a smaller organisation but understands the complexities of larger customer requirements, in particular your reporting and analysis skills should be strong (MS Excel strong working knowledge), you are fully conversant with IFRS and have exceptional communication skills to manage a range of key stakeholders.
