Assistant Accountant | £22,000-£28,000 | Wakefield | Career Development
Axon Moore is pleased to be partnering with a privately owned business who are ready to welcome an Assistant Accountant into their team. With a strong presence in the marketplace this is an exciting opportunity for the successful individual to establish or enhance their financial career by supporting a wider team.
The role has been created, with the hope that the individual will progress within the business and develop alongside the FD. As well as day to day duties, this person will be tasked with making improvements within the team.
Key Responsibilities as Assistant Accountant will include:
• Monthly purchase ledger statement reconciliations
• Bank Reconciliations
• Raising payments
• Posting journals
• Assisting sales ledger with payments, postings, manual payments
• Petty cash payments and reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end, analysis and ad-hoc reporting
• Collation of other ad-hoc duties as required
The team are tight-knit and hard-working, so we’re keen to meet with individuals who’re driven and who are looking for a hands-on, Assistant Accountant role for their next move.
Experience Required:
• Previous purchase/sales ledger experience
• Good academic background
• Studying AAT L4 or ACCA / CIMA
• Strong Excel Skills (V-Lookups and Pivot Tables as a minimum)
