AMAZING & NEW opportunity to join this boutique investment business with an amazing growth story to tell. This in an ‘in-house’ position.
If you’ve gained experience within an Investment Bank and now looking to move to something a little more specialist and active, then this may be the ideal role for you.
Reporting to the Head of Risk and a dotted line to the CFO, this is a brilliant role within a business that has a history of raising finance and deploying it quickly (but sensibly) and have become the leader in Europe within their field.
Key Duties:
- Conduct targeted credit analysis on a variety of business and investment opportunities
- Conduct financial and operational analysis of sale transaction targets
- Monitor existing transactions for operational and financial health
- Producing corporate credit risk reviews
- Liaise with the investment team, finance team and operations team to aid decision support on various transactions
- Create a credit risk framework alongside the existing team
- Build strong relationships with investment banks and investment partners, meeting externally to help maintain strong relationships
- Prepare annual credit reviews of the portfolio
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a corporate banking or asset lending
- Educated to degree level or equivalent; an MBA or a professional financial qualification
- would be an advantage
- Clear understanding of general accounting principles, the time value of money and
- discounted cash flow techniques
- Strong, in-depth, financial and business analytical skills together with a sound
- knowledge of business re-structuring techniques
- Ability to read, understand, and comment on the risk issues
- Strong oral, written and analytical skills and an ability to make quality decisions quickly
If you are interested in moving away from the politics and frustrations of a big investment bank and keen to move to a boutique, with a small team and lots of responsibility – this could be a great opportunity for you.
