Accountant

Finance & Accountancy Division at SF Recruitment is proactively recruiting for an Accountant on the behalf of an established and reputable manufacturing business based in Leicester. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is looking for a secure long term role with an organisation where there is scope to develop to Group level. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Full ownership of the accounting function
2. Improving accounting processes and control
3. Creating and providing financial reporting packs for the Management Team
4. Managing all accounting operations, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, nominal ledger and general ledger
5. Bank reconciliation
6. Liaising with customers to obtain all information required for the accounting report, including debtors debt
7. Cost accounting
8. Preparing of management accounts
9. Preparing VAT returns
10. Preparing and filing tax returns
11. General accounting tasks

As the Accountant you will must have the following skills:
1. Fully ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Qualified
2. Ability to work in a standalone role
3. Proactive and hands on approach
4. Ability to drive improvement and changes where necessary
5. Competent in Excel and Bespoke Accounting Systems
