Group Accountant

Our client is an established and successful industrial group with an outstanding reputation for product innovation and service delivery. With growth comes opportunity and to ensure their financial reporting properly supports the commercial operations they now seek the services of an energetic and passionate Group Accountant.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and partnering with the business unit mangers, you will be responsible for providing meaningful financial information and reporting to the business. Your financial acumen will be a significant value-add in supporting the organisation's delivery of innovative growth initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Preparing financial statements and reports (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
• Preparing monthly KPI reports including commentary and performance insights for the leadership team
• Tax compliance - Prepare and lodge annual FBT returns, GST & BAS
• Attend to half and full year reporting and audit requirements including liaising with auditors and tax advisors
• Preparing budgets and forecasts
• Provide ad-hoc support and analysis to key BU stakeholders with particular regard to sales and gross margin and cost drivers
• Assist with managing and mentoring the finance team
• Developing and enhancing the finance systems & processes
• Driving corporate governance including policies, procedures and controls
• Being an integral team member in future business acquisitions, including gathering an understanding business systems and processes and integrating with the Group's operations and financials

Requirements:

ACA qualified (big 4) with 3-5 years experience in Indsutry

Desire to be part of a close knit and motivated team of professionals.

Strong technical skills and flair for the commercial workings of an organisation

As a team leader you will be both a manager and mentor as you build the team's capabilities and business relevance.

Previous experience within an innovation group company is essential to understand the methodologies (Pact group, Ryco filters, Viva energy etc)
